 Things to work on today:

Locking in on pull rights and pull left with little lift (go around—not through—to eliminate)

One-touch give and go passing

Improving our strong approach to goal with feet toward goal cage, quickest & strongest ball to goal cage (no back swing)

Improving pressure on goalkeeper

Improving focus and positioning on any Addy or Shannon free hit from 40yd line toward our attacking 1/3 (Salice positioned in front of goalkeeper instead of wings)

4-4:15 Dynamic

4:15-4:30 Review of Friday’s game

4:30-4:45 Elimination tires (3 or 4 tires)

Pull rights at game speed

Pull lefts with little lift at game speed

4:45-5 One touch give and go passing

Work in pairs

Increase the distance the pass has to travel after 2x

Total of four distance increases

5-5:20 Hard hits from 40 yd line (then from 30 yd line)

Defenders working with GK

Forwards and Nicole positioned to add stick and then rushing in.

Focus on:

Salice positioned in front of GK (not wings)

Keeping feet facing goal

Quickest and strongest ball to goal with no backswing

Pressure on goalkeeper

Getting Nicole in deep space in side attack circle

Adding Anita to top of circle to cover space left by Nicole

Making sure Addy and Shannon have practice at top of circle as well

5:20-5:40 1v1 First touch on ball towards goal w defenders

Set specifically parameters for offense and defense

Allow a 1 forward to join and 1 defender to join once the ball is controlled

5:40-5:55 Clean up equipment and team stretch
