Proposed Starting Lineup (and rationale) vs ER 10/7

GAME NOTES: We know that ER has a strong right side attack. Sometimes Peyton will enter circle on left side and attempt a reverse shot on goal. But, primarily, they are a right side attack. Midfielder Mia to RW Maci is one of their strong plays. Maci then centers the ball to Mia or Peyton. Given this insight, we need to keep our left side and center players as strong as possible (at least until we get a 4-goal lead). Our right side and center players need to be focused on creating a fast transition to our own right side attack. I think we will have success carrying ball into deep space on right side (and possibly in the center as well — especially after Q1).

RB Tori or Lyla (ready to poke at ball if Peyton or Mia attempt left side reverse shot on goal… must pick up player on the ER left post)

CB Quinn (needs to be aware of ER strong right side attack… needs to be ready to cut off crossing passes to Peyton and Mia)

LB Sophie (needs to be aware of ER strong right side attack… Maci at RW and her crosses to Peyton and Mia in our defending 1/3)

BOD Anita (must be focused on not letting ER past our 25yd line… interceptions and pressuring ball/channeling away from goal… getting ball out to EHS RM and/RW)

RM Shannon (needs to be ready to generate strong right side EHS attack… carry ball right… get ball to EHS RW)

LM Addy (needs to cover Mia as ER transitions to attack and cut off passes to Maci)

TOD Nicole (needs to cover Peyton &  Mia as ER transitions to attack… pressure ball and steal… strong to goal OR carry right and get ball to EHS RW)

RF Emma/Kenadie (need to be ready to carry ball into deep attack space for strong right side attack)

I think is is OK if Salice comes out of this game once we get a lead. I also think it would interestung to see Salice at BOD.
