PARTNER GAME

8:55-9:05 Water balloon toss game (in partners) - we all know this game -

TEAM GAMES

9:10-9:20 Hula hoop game

Each team gets a hula hoop. They line up shoulder to shoulder and holding hands. They must move the hula hoop from one end to the other without letting go of hands. They have to step and bend and shimmy to keep the hoop moving through all the bodies in the line. First team to get hula hoop from one end to the other wins.

9:25-9:35 “Fire brigade” relay to fill-the-ziplock bag

Each team has 12 water balloons. They are standing in a line with players 1 arms length apart. Pile of 12 water balloons at one end. One teammate is the water collector standing at the end of the line with the ziplock bag. The team proceeds to hand each water balloon down the line without breaking the balloon. The last person opens the balloon and empties the water into the ziplock bag. If a team drops a ballon and it does not break — or does not empty completely — they can restart that balloon. The team with the most water in the ziplock bag after all balloons are sent from one end to the other wins.

9:40-10:00 Carry water balloons with FH sticks relay

This is a multilevel relay.

Each team gets eight FH sticks and four water balloons.

Object of the game: Each team needs to move the four water balloons 10 yards and set the each balloon on the ground without it breaking.

NOTE: If balloon drops to ground, but does not break, they can restart from that point

  • FIRST ROUND: four sticks and four players arrange the sticks in their hands to create a carrier for the balloon and then they have to move in unison to carry the balloon 10 yards without it breaking. If they make it the full 10 yards, then they have to work together to gently lower the balloon to the turf  without it breaking.

  • SECOND ROUND: three sticks and three players

  • THIRD ROUND: two stick and two players

  • FOURTH ROUND: one stick and one player

0 points if ballon breaks before they cover 5 yards.

1 point if ballon breaks between the 5-10 yard mark.

2 points if they make it 10 yards, but balloon breaks when setting it down.

3 points if they make it all they way without the balloon breaking

***End games here OR add one more game***

POSSIBLE EXTRA: Beach ball keep-in-the-air game

Each team gets a beach ball. They hold hands and make the biggest circle they can make. One person puts the ball in the air. Everyone works together to keep the ball from hitting the ground. We can do up to three rounds of this game. We can score based on how many touches the team gets (each touch to keep ball in air counts as one touch). Team with the most touches wins the round.
