Senior Night Info for Parent Voluneteers

  • Our EHS FH SENIOR NIGHT will be Friday 10/10 vs. Brighton 7pm

  • We have 5 EHS Seniors: Salice, Shannon, Tori, Lucy, Casey

Parents (so far) who have said they want to help with this event:

  • Kerri Bauer (Salice’s mom) 585-236-3919

  • Laurie McGrath (Shannon’s mom) 585-943-9436

  • Stacy Schmidt (Casey’s mom) 585-797-7335

  • Carolyn Leonard (Cara’s mom) 585-503-4313 fyi… Cara is 8th grade JV GK

WHAT ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT PROVIDES

  • Senior banners

  • Flowers for our players

  • Official photographer

WHAT COACHES PROVIDE

  • 4 gifts for the players (personalized FH keyring, a Senior Night button for all players and their families, a white EHS FH baseball cap, a framed action photo for each FH player).

  • Coaches also will also work with seniors on the “blurb” that they want the announcer to read on senior night. Coaches will provide the blurb to the announcer.

  • Zip ties to hang senior banners

  • Plastic forks - small paper plates - napkins for serving cake after game (these are left over from previous years)

  • Serving utensils for the cake

WHAT FH FUNDRAISING MONEY PROVIDES

  • EHS player t-shirts to decorate for senior night

  • Small gift for Seniors from Brighton

WHAT PARENTS/VOLUNTEERS PROVIDE (and cover the costs of these items)

  • Any decorations you wish to use at the stadium

  • 1 large sheet cake for the post-game celebration

  • 1 cookie cake for the postgame celebration

    • NOTE: In recent years we have used the artwork from the Senior Night button on the cakes… but you can do whatever you wish

  • 5 gift bags to hold the gifts to the EHS Seniors

  • Any additional items you wish to add to the player gift bags beyond the gifts from the coaches (all gift bags should contain the same number of items… additional items in previous years have included socks… FH stickers… a treat, such as cookies or candy)

  • Parents/volunteers can also create a simple program for Senior Night (not essential… usually folded 8.5x11 flier that uses the button artwork, the player senior photos and the player “blurb” that is read by the announcer)

PARENT/VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Order the cakes and get them to the stadium on Fri 10/10

  • Hang senior banners and decorate stadium on Fri 10/10 in any other way you wish (I think it works best when we hang the banners on the stadium bleachers fence in front of where our fans sit… facing in towards the seating)

  • Label gift bags and place all gift items in each player’s gift bag

  • For the pregame ceremony, make sure each parent of a senior has flowers and the correct gift bag to give to their senior

  • Set up the serving area for the post-game celebration (I think this works best from a lighting stadpoint for photos to set up the serving table to the left of the gate that goes out onto the track)

  • Serve the cake in the post-game celebration (make sure seniors pose for a photo with the cake before serving)

  • Clean up after the event
